Are you interested in influencing our work and the impact of the Equality and Human Rights Commission in Scotland?
We are currently recruiting new Committee members to join the team in Scotland, to support and advise on important areas of equality and human rights.
We are looking for people from a wide variety of backgrounds and life experience and who have a passion and commitment to furthering equality in Scotland.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission's Scotland Committee is a statutory committee, which advises the Commission on its work in Scotland. It is chaired by the Scotland Commissioner, Dr Lesley Sawers.
You may never have considered a committee position before, or know much about us, but your experience may be invaluable to the work of the Commission in Scotland.
We welcome applications from as diverse a range of applicants as possible and from those who can make a valuable and distinctive contribution to our work in Scotland, particularly in:
lived experience of race, including Roma, Gypsy and Travellers
lived experience of disability
In making the appointments we will seek to achieve a diversity of background and experience, including improving the gender balance of our Scotland Committee in line with good practice guidelines for boards.
