- Programme Associate, Women’s Rights, Sigrid Rausing Trust, UK
We are seeking an exceptional individual to assist with our grant-making in the field of Women’s Rights. The programme supports organisations addressing gender based violence, sexual and reproductive rights and strengthening movements for women’s rights.
The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience in human rights, ideally to include experience in the field of women’s rights, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. Experience of working with organisations based overseas would be an advantage, particularly in the Middle East North Africa or Central and Eastern European regions.
The Programme Associate for Women’s Rights reports to the Senior Programme Officer who has particular responsibility for the Women’s Rights programme.
You will be responsible for researching potential applicants, working with those invited to apply, reviewing applications and seeking references on the work of the applicant organisation. The role also includes monitoring and reviewing grantee reporting, research and analysis as required, and keeping informed of developments in the programme area. From time to time, you may also be asked to assist in other programme areas.
Programme staff are assisted by a small administrative team.
You must be well-organised, analytical and with good attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
A competitive salary will be offered depending on experience, plus pension contributions.
