Job Description

Adult Social Care Paralegal required to join a local authority based in Essex for an initial 3 month period.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal to undertake a role with the opportunity to learn and develop within a large public sector organisation. The work involved is varied and candidates must have some prior experience within this field of work.
The successful Adult Social Care Paralegal will be assisting solicitors with their cases. This may include the following;
 Human Rights Assessments
S117 Mental Health Act matters
 DoLS Assessments
 Safeguarding concerns including prevention of neglect or abuse
Other responsibilities will include drafting documents, offering legal advice, conducting legal research and possible advocacy.
The ideal candidate will be a fast learner and eager to work in a fast-paced environment. The role is to start on short notice due to the demand of the increase in workloads, so we encourage candidates to apply that are on short notice periods.
