Virginia Operations Director, Youth Organizing Program




NextGen Climate is currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Operations Director to join our Virginia team for the 2017 election. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a political or campaign environment. The candidate will have experience managing budgets, paid programs, events, and people operations.



Maintain state budget and paid programs

Oversee staff hiring process and human resource activities in state

Manage general office needs, including procurement of office supplies and field merchandise/literature

Track organizational progress and develop comprehensive reports

Coordinate field events and organizer trainings



Must have previous experience in an operations management position

At least one cycle of political campaign experience

Ability to work with campaign budget and paid programs

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps

Excellent organizational skills

The ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines

Driven with a strong work ethic

Ability to travel and work flexible hours
