Description –

LAJC is seeking a full-time community organizer to join our CRRJ team in Charlottesville, Virginia. Among other things, the organizer will work on our Charlottesville Police Accountability and Low-Income Housing Campaigns, supporting Charlottesville’s low-income housing community and communities of color as they organize and mobilize to end police practices that contribute to the over-criminalization and economic instability of those communities and call for more accountability from local law enforcement. The organizer will also help facilitate coalition building between community groups whose overlapping interests converge in the area of dismantling institutional racism throughout Charlottesville to improve economic, educational, and individual outcomes for all residents.
